Freddie Gibbs BIOGRAPHY

Fredrik Tipton, acting under the pseudonym Freddie Gibbs, is a hip-hop artist from Gary, Indiana.

In 2004, he began to rap, releasing two parts of the Full Metal Jacket mixtape in a year. The releases were to the taste of Interscope managers. In 2006 Gibbs signed a contract and was ready to release a studio album, for which he even moved to Los Angeles, but for unknown reasons, the management decided to release him from the contract. In 2007 and 2008, he released two parts of the mixtape "Live From Gary, Indiana," starting to collect a loyal fan base. 2009 was his breakthrough year for the masses - Fredrick released as many as three mixtapes in a year -"The Labels Tryin To Kill Me!" and the most successful is The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs. All releases were distributed over the Internet and over time, Gibbs became very popular. In 2010, he released the successful EP (then mixtape) "Str8 Killa No Filla", and in 2011 he received an offer from Jeezy to join his CTE World label. There he did not stop and left the label in 2012, releasing two more mixtapes for this, as well as joint EPs with Statik Selektah and Madlib.

At the same time, they worked so well with Madlib that from 2011 to 2014, there were four joint EPs and a whole studio album "Pinata," which became one of the best releases of 2014. At the same time, in 2013, Gibbs released his first solo album on his own ESGN label. He did not have much success and was eclipsed by mixtapes, as well as a project with Madlib. In 2015, Gibbs released the EP "Pronto" and the second album "Shadow of a Doubt."
